It’s official! St Georges Market Belfast is the UK’s Best Large Indoor Market 2014! The National Association of British Market Authorities award is one of the most coveted titles and this year’s award was keenly contested, with the Belfast market beating off stiff competition from internationally renowned markets like Spitalfields, Billingsgate and Borough.
Celebrating the news is Jimmy Murdoch, whose family have been trading at St George’s Market for five generations, and Cathy McLaverty from the Belfast branch of the National Market Traders Federation.
