The Giant’s Causeway has been nominated in the British Travel Awards (BTAs) for the second year running – but it’s votes that count in this consumer-led opinion poll.

Northern Ireland’s only World Heritage Site, looked after by the National Trust, will battle it out with landmarks such as Edinburgh Castle and Sterling Castle, in a bid to be crowned the UK’s Best Heritage Attraction.

The prestigious travel awards offer consumers the opportunity to reward companies and visitor attractions that have provided excellent service throughout the last year.

In 2014, the National Trust team at the Giant’s Causeway welcomed 788,000 visitors, offering a first-class visitor experience and a warm welcome to travellers keen to see the natural phenomenon that puts Northern Ireland ‘on the map’.

‘It’s great for Northern Ireland. These awards represent the very best in tourism across the UK,’ said Alastair Walker, Giant’s Causeway Site Manager.

‘The Visitor Centre’s facilities, and services offered by our dedicated staff, ensure that thousands of annual visitors enjoy the causeway comfortably. We want them to leave thinking ‘that was a really great experience”.

British Travel Awards winners will be announced at a lavish gala awards dinner being held in London on November 2015.

The winning attraction will be the one which gathers most public votes in a marathon campaign lasting over ten weeks. Will you help us bring the award back home?
