Staff and young people at Include Youth were completely overwhelmed last week, when they were presented with a larger than life cheque for £9,310, from the generous staff at FinTrU Ltd. The staff at FinTrU have been enthusiastically fundraising over the past six months with bake sales, 5k runs, pub quizzes and pool tournaments.
The money raised will be funding the ‘Fuelling Future Food Clubs’ at the Include Youth Belfast site. The food clubs provide lunch to young people on the ‘Give & Take’ programme, many of who would not eat otherwise and it also teaches them valuable nutrition and cooking skills.
Darragh McCarthy, Founder and CEO of FinTrU said, “We were delighted to be able to present this cheque to Include Youth. Everyone at FinTrU feels very passionately about the work that Include Youth do and we want to support these inspirational young people in any way we can.”
Staff from FinTrU have been visiting the food clubs on a weekly basis, getting to know the young people on a personal level and experiencing first-hand, how their fundraising efforts make a big difference.
Paddy Mooney, Director of Include Youth said, “I cannot thank our friends at FinTrU enough for their incredible fundraising – we were completely blown away when we saw the cheque! This money funds a vital life line for the young people at our Belfast site and we feel very fortunate to be FinTrU’s chosen charity partner.”
