How to Visit Titanic Belfast: Tickets, Tips and What to Expect

Updated: September 2026 — hours and prices soft-checked against titanicbelfast.com. Always confirm hours and prices on the official site the morning you go (opening hours · prices).

Belfast built her. The visit still starts here, in the Titanic Quarter, on the slipways side of the water. Titanic Belfast is the self-guided Titanic Experience — ten galleries, timed entry, with SS Nomadic included on a standard ticket. Official site: titanicbelfast.com. If a price is not on that page, check the page. Do not guess at the till.

How much are tickets?

Standard Titanic Experience prices as listed on the official prices page (the temporary UK VAT reduction that ran to 1 September 2026 has ended):

  • Adult online: £24.95 · walk-up: £26.95
  • Child (5–15) online: £11 · walk-up: £13
  • Under 5s: free
  • Family pass (2 adults and 2 children, or 1 adult 18+ and up to 4 children): £62 online · £68 walk-up
  • Student / senior (60+), Monday to Friday only: £21.95 online · £23.95 walk-up
  • Essential carer: free, with the usual conditions on the site

Standard admission includes SS Nomadic.

Buy on the official site, by phone on +44 (0)28 9076 6386, or at Visit Belfast Welcome Centre, 9 Donegall Square North. Timed slots every 10 minutes. Book ahead when you can — the Experience page says advance booking only; the prices page still lists walk-up figures, so if you have not booked, check availability the morning you go. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Who: Titanic Belfast — Titanic Experience, plus SS Nomadic
  • Where: Titanic Quarter, Belfast
  • When: daily, seasonal hours
  • Tickets: titanicbelfast.com, timed entry
  • Includes: SS Nomadic on a standard Experience ticket

Subject to licence / official site.

How long should you leave?

The Experience: about 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Self-guided, one-way route — Boomtown Belfast, the shipyard ride, the launch, the fit-out, the maiden voyage, the sinking, the aftermath, Ballard’s quest, the artefacts.

SS Nomadic sits in Hamilton Dock — last remaining White Star Line vessel. Leave 30 minutes to an hour. Last admission is 30 minutes before Nomadic closing time. You can use Nomadic the same day, or keep the ticket and go back within a year of purchase. Keep the ticket.

Together, that is a proper afternoon. Add time for the slipways, the atrium, food and the store. You can walk the Grand Atrium and the historic slipways without an Experience ticket.

Last admission to the Titanic Experience is 1 hour 40 minutes before closing. Do not cut it fine.

Opening hours (September–October 2026)

Seasonal hours change through the year. Soft-checked on the official opening-hours page:

September 2026 (Monday–Sunday)

  • Titanic Belfast: 8.30am–6pm
  • SS Nomadic: 10am–5.30pm
  • Last Experience admission: 4.20pm (1 hour 40 minutes before close)

October 2026 (Monday–Sunday)

  • Titanic Belfast: 8.50am–6pm
  • SS Nomadic: 10am–5.30pm

November and winter clocks change again — check opening hours before you travel.

Nomadic can close for private functions. If it does, your Nomadic ticket stays redeemable on another date in the same calendar year (per the official Nomadic page). Exceptional closures are listed on titanicbelfast.com — Monday 15 September 2026 is listed as a Nomadic closure day (Titanic Belfast still open on seasonal hours); always check the banner on the official homepage the morning you visit.

A Seasonal Late Saver is available outside July and August: in person at the box office, last hour, reduced rate, shorter route from The Launch gallery (8 of 10 galleries). It does not include the shipyard ride or Nomadic. Check the prices page on the day — do not assume a walk-up saver without confirming.

How do you book a slot?

Pick a date. Pick a 10-minute entry time. Pay. Save the ticket to your phone, print it, or collect at the kiosks. Scan at your admission time — that is the window.

Anytime tickets and the White Star Premium Pass are listed separately, with their own prices. The Discovery Tour is a guided walking tour you can book on its own. If you are not on the standard Experience, read the inclusions. Late Saver does not include Nomadic. Standard Experience does.

Inside, they take sterling notes, Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, Alipay, contactless and Apple Pay. No Discovery cards. Change in pounds.

What if you only want Nomadic?

A standard Titanic Experience ticket already includes it. Nomadic tickets from that purchase work the same day or within a year. If you are trying to buy Nomadic on its own, and the price is not on the official page, check the site. Do not invent a walk-up figure at the dock.
