– Free tickets now available for family-fun event on Saturday 1st September
Glider, the innovative new mode of travel for Belfast, has partnered with Belfast Film Festival to host an outdoor cinema at the City Hall on Saturday 1st September just ahead of Glider services starting the following week (Sept 3).
The cinematic experience will screen popular feel-good movies including superhero animation The Incredibles (1:30pm), 80s classic Big (4.00pm), and musical blockbuster The Greatest Showman (6.00pm).
Speaking about the event, Translink’s Damian Bannon, said:
“We want to celebrate the launch of Glider just ahead of passenger services starting on Monday 3rd September with this fun cinematic experience in the heart of the city.
“We’ve selected three real crowd-pleaser films suitable for all ages and a Glider vehicle will also be at City Hall so people can step on-board for a sneak preview ahead of passenger services premiering from Monday 3rd September.
“Outdoor cinema seating is limited so anyone coming along is encouraged to bring their own picnic blankets or fold-up chairs and also dress appropriately for the weather.”
To book your FREE (please note there will be a £1 booking fee) Glider cinema tickets via Belfast Film Festival’s box office visit: belfastfilmfestival.org/programme/glider-incredible-big-show
