The Irish Football Association teamed up with Electric Ireland, proud sponsor of Women’s Grassroots Football across Northern Ireland and Official Sponsor of the UEFA Women’s Under 19 Championship 2017, to host an event in Belfast to announce the Northern Ireland team squad for the upcoming tournament which kicks off on Tuesday 8th August.
The event, hosted in Belfast’s Victoria Square saw the Northern Ireland U19 women’s team engage with families, local football fans and the general public, encouraging them to participate in a range of football skills.
Through its sponsorship of women’s football, Electric Ireland is working to break down perceptions that exist around women’s football, celebrate female football talent and help boost participation within the women’s game through its campaign entitled Gamechangers.
