Dolores McVeigh-Smyth – founder of Dynamic Studio

My name is Dolores McVeigh-Smyth and I am the founder of Dynamic Studio.  I have been in the fitness industry for over 30 years and the COVID-19 pandemic has been a catalyst for me to focus on what I love the most – teaching fitness.  I truly am happiest when helping people be the best version of themselves.

I qualified as a sports therapist in the early 80’s with my thesis on the Alexander Technique specialising in postural gait and Swedish massage.  I’ve always been a self-starter, starting by teaching aerobics/step aerobics in church halls and gyms.  Teaching took me as far as Canada where I went to work for Powerhouse Gym in Toronto.  My love of fitness has been a constant throughout my life and I’ve attended classes and workshops around the world, always developing and learning new approaches and techniques along the way.  These experiences have dramatically changed the way I train today.  I no longer punish myself with body pump or spin classes which, to be honest, has caused a few accumulative injuries over the years.

I went to my first Pilates class 7 years ago and it was life changing.  It’s wonderful to be able to say that I recently turned 50 and am in the best shape of my life while reducing the time I spend training by a staggering 50%.  Best of all, by being a lot kinder to my body, I am injury free and have been rewarded with a flexible, mobile, strong and toned body.

I totally understand that life can be busy and even hectic at times and that’s why I designed my unique online 4 week evolving program which you can do from the comfort of your own home.  Each class is totally doable and crucially, it’s proven to work.  My main focus is to help you achieve your goals and I am readily available to advise on diet, training and lifestyle.
