Craft Northern Ireland’s showcase exhibition of N. Ireland’s finest contemporary craft comes back to Belfast this April, following its successful run at Craft Central in Clerkenwell in London.

Supported by the Creative Industries Innovation Fund, this successful exhibition brought some of NI’s most talented designer-makers to the attention of leading London retailers, VIPs and the wider public. Now, Craft NI are delighted to present the work of these makers to a Northern Irish audience.

Professor Karen Fleming, curator of the exhibition, said: “Inspired by the unique landscape and culture of Northern Ireland, all the makers in ‘Perspective: Inspiration Unveiled’ bring a distinctive perspective and a contemporary edge to their creative products.”

From jewellery designers to sculptors, ceramists, weavers, glass blowers and furniture designers, there will be a wide array of disciplines represented. Makers like Eamonn Higgins – a master blacksmith and sculptor – who is inspired by the beauty of the Glens of Antrim. Eamonn is typical of the new emerging thirty-something craft-based entrepreneurs forging a name themselves within, and beyond, Northern Ireland.

We are now proud to bring the work of thirteen of NI’s exceptional makers back to a home audience.”
