Visit EastSide for Christmas at C.S. Lewis Square 22-25 November to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the opening of C.S. Lewis Square as well as mark the 55th anniversary of the passing of east Belfast literary great C.S. Lewis. Christmas at C.S. Lewis Square is an extended weekend of music concerts, fine dining and family fun at the C.S. Lewis Square.

The C.S. Lewis Square, at the heart of the Connswater Community Greenway, is one of Northern Ireland’s most exciting public spaces including seven pieces of public art on the theme of the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

It has capacity for around 2,000 people at events and celebrations and has been visited by approximately 750,00 people since it opened.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

Join us in Narnia HQ (aka C.S. Lewis Square) for our official Christmas tree light switch on. There will be music and carol singing, festive market stalls and family entertainment. This event coincides with the two year opening of the C.S. Lewis Square.

  • David C Clements Concert – 23rd November,8pm

    David C Clementshas been grabbing the attention of music lovers through his exceptional live performances for quite some time. He is an epic and heavenly alternative folk singer with swelling melodies and vocals touched with the ache of experience, retelling tales that feel at once both insightful and familiar.

    Clements is a well-respected musician, having cut his teeth performing with former band, SixStarHotel, yet it is his solo material that demands most attention, notably with Ed Sheeran and Passenger, as well as in collaboration with Gary Lightbody (Snow Patrol).

    The live concert will take place within a heated marquee in C.S. Lewis Square and feature a fully licensed bar from Horatio Todd’s.

  • Narnia Themed Banquet – 24th November, 7:30pm


Join us for a delicious 5 – course banquet created from the very best hand-picked local produce, cooked and served by the brilliant team at Freight / Gypsy Kitchen in C.S. Lewis Square, with each course inspired by the fabulous feasts created by C.S. Lewis in The Chronicles of Narnia.

Following the release of the critically acclaimed “Songs From My Father” Houston and his guitar have been touring the frontier of northern Quebec with a Cree chief, travelling coast to coast across North America and plying his trade in the troubadour tradition in places as far flung as Romania and Israel.

Houston has been writing fresh new songs to be recorded soon and is poised to release his most visceral album yet.

The live concert will take place within a heated marquee in C.S. Lewis Square and feature a fully licensed bar from Horatio Todd’s.
