Multi-award winning singing sensation James Arthur is set to headline Live at the Square, in Ebrington Square, Derry, next summer.
Known for his powerful vocals and emotionally-charged hits such as Say You Won’t Let Go, Impossible, and Naked, the former X-Factor winner will bring his full live band on August 28 for what promises to be one of the standout live music moments of the year for the North West.
For Arthur, who is about to embark on a sold-out UK tour, this performance will mark his first major outdoor show in Derry, offering fans an unforgettable evening in one of the city’s most iconic locations.
With six studio albums under his belt, Arthur is one of an elite group of artists to win the Brits Billion award, having amassed over one billion digital streams. His latest album Pisces showcases the breadth of his talent with elements of pop, rock, Americana and indie sitting alongside his soulful style
The chart-topper commented
“Irish audiences are well-known as being amongst the best in the world, and having played Belfast several times I can definitely confirm this is true. I’m psyched to be headlining Live at the Square and can’t wait to play in Derry for the first time.”
Taking place from August 27 – 30 August, event organisers say this year’s Live at the Square aims to showcase top-tier international talent alongside local artists, celebrating the region’s vibrant music culture.
Karl Diamond, organizer of Live at The Square said:“We are thrilled to welcome James Arthur to Derry for Live at the Square. His incredible voice, global success, and passionate fanbase make him the perfect headliner. Last year Emeli Sande, The Ibiza Orchestra and Ella Henderson attracted over 10,000 people and we are confident with James Arthur on the bill and other artists, soon to be announced, 2026 is going to be amazing. This will be a spectacular night of live music in the heart of our city.”
