CastleCourt opens key City Centre drop off point for Mission Christmas

CastleCourt Shopping Centre is expected to deliver thousands of gifts for families across Northern Ireland, as part of Cash for Kids Mission Christmas 2022 initiative.

It is the third year the Centre has opened up one of their units as a key city centre drop off point for the campaign, which seeks to ensure no child goes without at Christmastime.

This year, CastleCourt management are expecting to fill their ground floor unit with new or unwrapped gifts that are donated by shoppers, neighbouring businesses and the Shopping Centre itself.

Leona Barr, Centre Manager at CastleCourt commented; “We are delighted to be a key central drop off point for Mission Christmas again this year.

“Last year, we delivered over 2,000 gifts from our drop off point to the sorting centre at Boucher. Shoppers would tell us that they saw the unit open for drop offs while they were doing their Christmas shopping, so they would add additional gifts for the campaign, while hundreds of people found us the most accessible thanks to our car parking facilities.

“We also ensure that the many local businesses surrounding us in the city centre know we have the drop off available, and that makes a huge difference for them as we also organise delivery of the gifts to the Cash for Kids warehouse where they get sorted for families across Northern Ireland.”

CastleCourt’s Mission Christmas drop off point is now open until 19 December.

Leona continued; “We will be making it even easier for shoppers to drop off their Mission Christmas gifts in their own time, as our late night shopping begins this Thursday 24 and Friday 25 November to coincide with Black Friday, which is set to be a big day of discounts within the centre from many of our retailers.”

Shoppers can expect big discounts from Matalan, Yankee Candle, Jack & Jones, Quiz, Schuh, VILA, Superdrug, the city centre’s only toy shop – The Entertainer, H Samuel, O’Neills, BPerfect Cosmetics, Belleek Living and many, many more.

Discounts start from 10% to 70% off, with many stores running special offers on Christmas gift sets, alongside plenty of multi-buy offers.

CastleCourt Shopping Centre will be open for late night shopping (9am – 9pm) on 01, 02, 08 and 09 December, then additional late nights begin from 12 – 16 and 19 – 23 December for Christmas shopping, with the Centre opening 8am – 5pm on Christmas Eve.

CastleCourt Shopping Centre will close for Christmas Day, reopening on Boxing Day and 27 December from 10am – 6pm, with regular late night shopping hours returning on Thursday 29 December and Thursday 05 January.
