This summer Camp Adventure has a brand new location in Northern Ireland, where children and teens from 10-16 can join us for our renowned International Sports and Language Camp. Camps will run between the 17th July and 13th August, with 1-week and 2-week camps available for booking. All our camps have 24-hour supervision by highly trained Irish and international staff and are, of course, all-inclusive!
Our new location is called YMCA Greenhill and is an outdoor and residential center, situated at the foot of Slieve Donard with a fantastic view over Newcastle and Dundrum Bay. The location of the center with the sea in view and the mountains in the back is really unique. It’s a fantastic place for adventures, sports and creative activities, and whether you prefer the high rope course, the soccer court or the fireplace, you can find all these things on our campground. All these facilities make the perfect place for an unforgettable camp – where you can enjoy your summer with lots of free time activities and make new friends from all over the world!
On the top of the mountain in Newcastle, Co. Down, you can enjoy a beautiful view over the city and the sea. You need only 10 minutes by foot to the beach or to the highest mountain of the province. You have the choice – beach or mountains.
Accommodation is in a multi-bed room which all have their own bathroom. In the traditional dining hall you will be spoiled with delicious and healthy meals and beverages – of course, all inclusive!
What to expect at our Camp…
Adventure:
Learn and experience survival training, try out our high rope course or learn how to make safety knots so that you can rock climb. Learn how to orienteer with map and compasses, how to build an overnight camp and how to prepare food in the wild. Canoeing, laser tag, team building, different high rope course elements and canyoning– here you can try out everything!
Creative:
Try out new art projects, like creating t-shirts or dreamcatchers. Find your own way to create pictures: painting or in a photo course. Of course, you can share you own ideas and bring them to life – show us your craftsmanship!
The Hike (two week bookings only)
A very special highlight is our 1 – 2 day hike. The whole camp joins in a hike through the Irish countryside. We don’t only cook our own hike pan but rather we will sleep under the beautiful star spangled sky. A totally unique experience!
Excursions
Trip to Belfast
The northern Irish capital and the second biggest city of the island Ireland is Belfast. The historical origin of the Titanic and the numerous parks and gardens will give you an understanding of this city. In it’s rustic city center you can enjoy a traditional black tea or a cake in a little café or catch some new trends in the shopping mall.
Camp Adventure
Camp Adventure is a German company with over 14 years experience in running successful International Sports and Language Camps , mainly across Germany, but also in Spain and Ireland. Each year we welcome 1000s of international staff, campers and trainees from across the world for for an unforgettable summer.
Key points to our camps are not only a focus on quality and safety but also ensuring that both Teamers (our staff) and participants actively shape and create the program in camp.
Years of experience along with excellent and comprehensive training for our highly qualified Teamers, ensure that children and young people spend an exciting yet relaxing holiday with Camp Adventure, with most Teamers between 19-35 years old and have experience working with children and young people.
Staff
We never put our money into major advertising campaigns, but mainly into Teamer recruitment, selection and training by Camp Adventure/Camp Europe. All applicants go through an extensive personal interview. Our minimum conditions for Team Members: They must present a police clearance certificate, be at least 19 years old, have a valid first aid certificate and go through our one-week training course.
