The Stena Line Belfast Giants posted their first four point weekend of the 2017/18 season thanks to a 6-5 win away against the Edinburgh Capitals on Sunday. The win in Scotland follows Saturday’s 7-4 home win over the Dundee Stars. Belfast now have five points from three games in Challenge Cup Group B and sit in first place.

Mike Cazzola made it a 6-4 game at 54:08 and Taylor Stefishen’s powerplay goal at 56:54 ensured a nervy final few minutes in Murrayfield.

However the Giants, backstopped by Stephen Murphy in goal, closed out the game and earned Belfast’s second win in as many nights.
