On a chilly and blustery January evening we received a fantastically warm welcome at Amici – thanks Bronagh, Pam and the rest of the team for the great service and food.

We were dining with a group of friends and, unanimously, the salt and chilli prawn starter was the favourite dish – it won hands down – gorgeous.

For other starters, we had arancini (there was a good chilli heat in these) and gamberone pil pil.

For mains we ordered the cod, seabass, salmon, filleto tagliata and spaghetti marinara, accompanied by pepper and rosemary fries and hand cut chunky chips, all washed down with a few gins and several glasses of Primitivo!

It’s really hard to pick a favourite main – but all the empty, clean plates told the whole story.

I was mistaken for Foy Vance again but that’s a regular occurrence!!!
