The Tinsel Tenner is an online campaign set up by actress/model Diona Doherty and comedian Sean Hegarty, to promote kindness in the run up to Christmas 2013. A ten pound note can make a huge difference to another persons day, may that person be struggling or not. A random act of kindness is mood lifting and in turn, when that random act of kindness is paid forward, we can make this Christmas one to remember.
All we ask, is that you take £10 of your hard earned cash, and spend it on another person in a bid to brighten up their day. It can be anything. £10 towards groceries for a young single parent in your area, £10 of electricity or heat for an elderly neighbour, £10 on a few toys to the local care home. The list is endless and the best thing is that you can deliver those gifts yourself anytime, starting from now.
