I’ve no doubt that the High Street store will become an iconic one for Lidl and I wish them every success.”
The store will be located at the Hi Park Centre, High Street, Belfast and will serve the centre of Belfast with top quality food and fantastic non-food specials, all at amazingly low prices. Tracy Denning, Sales Operations Manager for the new Belfast store said, “I am really looking forward to welcoming all of the Belfast city centre shoppers to our new store on High Street. We have lots of fun Christmas activities planned in the opening days. These will include food sampling from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th and our Chef Ambassador Ian Orr will make a guest appearance in store on Thursday 27th to demonstrate some of his fabulous recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But the star of the opening will be Santa who will make a special trip to the store on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th to help kids write their Christmas wish list!”
As well as Lidl’s High Street store opening, the retailer has other activities on foot to make this a magical Christmas for all. This year, families are invited to come and experience a winter wonderland at the Lidl Christmas market which will take place in St. Anne’s Square from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th December. It promises to be a family centred event an array of goodies from the Deluxe, Favorina and seasonal ranges from festive cakes & biscuits to nuts, chocolates and freshly baked mince pies. A traditional German bratwurst hut will serve authentic hotdogs and Irish hamburgers. And of course it wouldn’t be the same without Santa himself. Whilst visits to Santa should be booked on-line, letters to “Santa Land” can be sent via our magical letter drop at each market, which the kids will love. And to round the day off, be sure to visit our traditional carousel. All proceeds from Santa and the Carousel will be donated to our dedicated charity partner, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland.
