Over 200 young people took part in Youth Action Northern Ireland’s Dance4Life community festival in Belfast on Saturday 25 March.

Dance4Life, funded by Active Belfast and supported by Belfast City Council, was established by Youth Action NI to engage inactive young people across the City of Belfast, no matter their background or ability, by improving access to dance programmes in the community and unusual spaces.

The project aims to increase the skills and knowledge of young people by providing a catalogue of dance workshops and nutrition sessions to educate them on the benefits of being active and making healthier lifestyle choices. It culminated on Saturday 25 March when community groups across Northern Ireland took part in a celebratory festival and performed city-wide flash mobs for unsuspecting passersby.

Youth Action NI strives to make a significant impact to the lives of young people and communities throughout Northern Ireland through youth work opportunities that unlock the potential of young people and tackle inequalities.
