Belfast Mela

The Belfast Mela starts on Monday 23 August and runs until Sunday 29 August with more than 40 events taking place throughout Belfast during this year’s seven day festival. Highlights include a spectacular FREE ‘Mini Mela’ celebration on Saturday 28 August  from 11am – 5pm across the city centre. Monday 23 August

10.30am – 12.30pm – World of Wellbeing – Baby Massage at Maitri Studio.  Free

1pm – 2pm – Tea Walking Tour at the Big Fish. Free

2pm – 4pm – World of Wellbeing Baby Yoga at the Maitri Studio. Free

7pm – 8.30pm – World of Wellbeing Yoga at Falls Park. Free

7pm – 9pm – Salim Sabri – An evening of mystical Sufi Music at St Anne’s Cathedral.  £10

 

Tuesday 24 August

12noon – 1pm – World of Wellbeing – Qi Gong at the Bandstand at Drumglass Park. Free

12noon – 2pm – Lunchtime Panel Discussion at Café at Lyric Theatre. Free

7pm – 8pm – World of Wellbeing Yoga and Meditation at WaterWorks Park. Free

7pm – 9pm – Silk Road Supper Club, 3 course dining experience inspired by recipes and cooking stories from our local asylum seekers and refugee community, at the Black Box. £25.

 

Wednesday 25 August

11am – 12pm – Tea Walking Tour at the Big Fish. Free

1pm – 3pm – International Tea Dance at 101 Donegall Street. Free

6pm – 8pm – Tea Tales and Cocktails at The Tipsy Bird. £15

7pm – 10pm – Caribbean Carnival at The Black Box. £10

 

Thursday 26 August

10am – 12pm – World of Wellbeing Introduction to Sound Healing at Maitri Studio. Free

6pm – 8pm – World of Wellbeing Hula Hooping & Sound Bath at Bandstand at Ormeau Park. Free

8pm – 10pm – Luminate at 8pm at CS Lewis Square – spectacular illuminated sculptures, fire show and theatre to light up East Belfast. Free

 

Friday 27 August

11am – 2.20pm – Taste the World Tour – Meet at St George’s Market. £25

11am – 4.30pm – Little Bollywood x 4 one hour sessions at Oh Yeah Centre. Free

7pm – 11pm – Global Ceili at the Black Box. £10

 

Saturday 28 August

11am – 3pm – World of Wellbeing at St Anne’s Square. Free
