UK & Ireland Radio Pride

This weekend, Pride is on!

You can’t go to the real thing, so we’re bringing the sound of Pride to you, with UK and Ireland Radio Pride!

With groups in “The Parade”, to exclusive sessions with some of the biggest artists on “The Main Stage”, comics and queens in “The Cabaret Tent”, to DJs in “The Dance Arena”, debate, rememberance and more!

We’re really excited to bring you this first-of-it’s-kind radio event on Saturday and Sunday August 1st and 2nd!

Saturday

12:00 – 15:00: The Parade

When we asked “What will you miss most about Pride this year?” “The Parade” came back time again again as one of the most popular answers. So for our “virtual” Pride parade, we’ll be talking to the kind of groups and individuals that you’d expect to see at a Pride parade. The bonus of them dropping in via Zoom though versus an actual Pride parade does mean that we don’t have to shout over the whistles to be heard! We’ll also be hearing your Pride anthems requests. Those big songs that are usually blasting from speakers on the back of lorries can just be blasting through your speakers!

15:00 – 18:00: The Main Stage

Dean McCullough is joined by Billy Porter, Melanie C, Jade Thirlwall (Little Mix), Faye Tozer (Steps), Kim Petras, Ella Henderson, Fleur East, Foxes, Beverley Knight, Kelli-Leigh, L Divine, Four Of Diamonds, Bright Light Bright Light, Peyton and Tom Aspaul for exclusive live Zoom sessions, interviews and more!

18:00 – 0000: The Dance Arena

Hosted by Shane Pearce. Exclusive DJ sets from some of the biggest names in Dance Music, including Sigala, Groove Armada, Freemasons, Paulette and kicking off with a massive Clubland mix from Belfast’s Micky Modelle and a Pride Anthems set from Dylan McKee!

Sunday

0800 – 0900: The Panel : Hosted by Gok Wan

Moud Goba (UK Black Pride), Lewis oakley (Bi activist), Vinegar Strokes (Drag Race UK), Kate O’Donnell (TransVegas)

16:00 – 19:00: The Cabaret Tent
