TripAdvisor Belfast 7th in UK

Belfast who recently topped the online UK vote for a place on the new Global Monopoly board has now been announced as the 7th best UK destination on TripAdvisor.

The city came seventh in the top 10 list of best-rated UK destinations, in TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice awards.

London topped the list, with Edinburgh in second, Llandudno in third and Torquay in fourth.

The Travellers’ Choice awards reveal the best-rated destinations in the world, Europe and the UK each year, based on the millions of reviews from tourists.

With a population of almost 300,000 in the city proper, Belfast has grown into a cosmopolitan destination and become a popular weekend break spot. With feelings of optimism and life pulsing through the city, Belfast makes for an energising getaway. It’s never been easier to tour the city, thanks to a number of intriguing bus, taxi, boat and pedestrian options. Don’t miss the Ulster Folk Museum or the Belfast Cathedral, and make sure to experience some of the award-winning restaurants, bars, clubs, galleries and theatres.

In the world top 10, Marrakech claimed the top spot with London coming sixth, while Istanbul was named best destination in the European top 10 with Prague and London making up the top three.
