Folktown CIC is presenting a series of demonstration workshops bringing 19th and 20th century traditional skills to life. The workshops are suitable for all ages, and they will take place over three Thursdays in Bank Sq at the Folktown Market starting on the 15th and ending on the 29th of October.
The purpose of these workshops is to un-cover the hidden history of the area and bring it to life for everyone today. The events will include live demonstrations and workshops of traditional crafts; skills demonstration and education in relation to food production; heritage tours; and storytelling events.
Also on the same day… Macrame workshop!
A hands-on experience suitable for all ages. Its a century old type of weaving using knots that are shaped into decorative jewellery, clothes and much more. See more on https://
