The Pizza Co. has announced a new annual charity initiative, building on its ongoing support for community organisations across Northern Ireland which sees the locally owned fresh, fast food operator donate more than 20,000 meals each year.

The new ‘Charity Week’ initiative will see The Pizza Co. host a dedicated fundraising week each year, supporting a different charity each time, beginning with TinyLife this month and Mencap in 2027.

TinyLife, Northern Ireland’s only dedicated premature baby charity that provides support services both in the Neonatal unit and in the community, will be the first charity to benefit, with The Pizza Co. donating £1 from every pizza sold in each of its eight stores from Monday 24th until Sunday 30th August.

The company currently supports local sports organisations, youth clubs and pupil recognition initiatives, as well as men’s and women’s mental health groups and Haven, which works with people experiencing homelessness, donating more than 20,000 meals each year through its community partnerships.

Matthew Stevenson, Director of The Pizza Co. said: “Being part of the communities we operate is hugely important to us. We see our role as going beyond providing great food, we want to make a positive contribution to the people, groups and organisations doing important work locally.

We’ve always tried to support our communities in practical ways, whether that’s helping local clubs and young people or providing food to organisations supporting those who need it most. The new Charity Week initiative gives us an opportunity to build on that commitment and, importantly, involve our customers in helping us make an even greater impact.”

“TinyLife does incredible work supporting premature and vulnerable babies and their families across Northern Ireland, so we’re proud to have them as the first charity to benefit from this new initiative and we hope our customers will really get behind the campaign and help us raise as much as possible for the vital work they do,” Matthew added.

Madeline Donnelly, Head of Fundraising from TinyLife said: “We’re delighted to be the first charity supported through The Pizza Co.’s Charity Week and are incredibly grateful to the team and its customers. Funds raised will help us continue providing vital services for premature and vulnerable babies and their families across Northern Ireland.”
