The Man Shack announce the launch of the Belfast Barbering Academy (BBA) by welcoming some of the world’s most talented Barbers to a special masterclass which educated barbers from across the province on the most up to date barbering skills and benefitted from the sharing of ideas.
Sharp Fade, from Connecticut, USA is renowned for his 500,000 followers on Instagram alone, he travels the world sharing ideas and creating a bond between barbers across the globe. At just 24 years old, Sharp Fade has created a huge dedicated team of supportive followers and believes that as an industry, barbers should work together to be the very best they can be;
“I travel the world regularly with my job and I truly believe that if we work together and share our ideas that as an industry we are a force to be reckoned with. I wanted to create a link where we could all join together and with the application of social media this has been relatively easy. It’s important to me that we support each other, help those perhaps staring out in their barbering career and share our ideas and our knowledge, that’s how we, as industry will evolve and become better barbers. I was delighted to be invited to visit The Man Shack and was bowled over by the talent of some of the guys I met, I’ll definitely be back, Ireland is a wonderful country.”
Two of the UK and Irelands leading barbers also attending the special masterclass, Damian Adair owner of Thee Men’s Room, Newcastle and Mark Gaye of Notorious Barber shops and Founder of The Irish Barber Expo both took time out to attend the masterclass and will both be offering up their skills and know-how at the Belfast Barbering Academy.
Founded by Damian Adair of Thee Men’s Room and Kenny Parker of The Man Shack, the Belfast Barbering Academy is an exciting new addition to the barbering industry in Northern Ireland, Kenny says,
“When we opened The Man Shack last year we wanted to make it more than just a barber shop – the launch of the Belfast Barbering Academy is definitely making that a reality and we can now really give back to the rest of the industry and hopefully help lots of young guys (and girls!) carve out a new career for themselves in what I believe is a truly rewarding industry.”
The Belfast Barbering Academy is due to begin classes in September and will be offering hopeful barbers the chance of a new career with each 12 week course. The course will take place in Belfast and will enjoy regular visits from experts. To find out more or to register your interest please email firstname.lastname@example.org
