£1.6 million of prestige ill gotten gains from supercars to diamonds to go under the hammer at Wilsons Auctions
WILSONS Auctions, the UK and Ireland’s largest independent auction company, is preparing for an Unreserved Prestige Auction on Thursday 29th November which will see £1.6 million worth of luxury goods seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act go under the hammer with no reserve.
The prestige items will include a Mercedes-Benz SLS and Aston Martin Vantage which were part of a £7 million investment fraud case by Avon and Somerset Police. Other items include a 3.12ct loose diamond with a retail value of £82,000, gold bullions and a range of high-end watches.
The auction, which will take place at Wilsons Auctions’ Belfast branch from 6pm with online bidding available, will give customers the chance to drive away with even more luxury cars including a 2018 Audi RS4 with only 500 miles, BMW M4, Range Rover Sport, Mercedes C63 and a Mercedes GLE.
Almost 40 Lots of gold, diamond and platinum jewellery will also be going under the hammer with a significant selection of loose diamonds, emeralds, rubies and sapphires. A pearl necklace with an estimated value of £8,000, an 18ct yellow gold Cartier Agrafe Diamond necklace with an estimated value of £30,000 and an 18ct white gold jewellery set with an estimated retail value of £34,300 all to be sold with no reserve.
A total of 19 luxury watches will also feature throughout the auction from exclusive brands including Rolex, Patek Philippe and Cartier. Highlights include a Rolex Daytona with 18ct yellow gold bracelet with an estimated value £26,750, a Patek Philippe Gondolo with brown leather strap and 18ct white gold case with an estimated value of £20,840 and a Cartier Tank Americaine with 18ct yellow gold and diamond bracelet with an estimated value of £18,500.
Wilsons Auctions’ Asset Recovery Executive, Michael Streight said, “We have pulled out all the stops this month, hosting our biggest Unreserved Prestige Auction of the year which will feature some spectacular Lots including a Mercedes-Benz SLS with less than 10,000 miles, a stunning 3.12ct loose diamond worth over £80,000 as well as an impressive collection of precious stones, jewellery and luxury watches.
“Christmas really has come earlier for our bidders as all of these ill gotten gains will be going under the hammer with no reserve, this is a great opportunity to purchase high quality goods for a more affordable price. All items will be sold to the highest bidder at the fall of the gavel.

The Unreserved Prestige Auction will take place on a bumper evening for Wilsons Auctions Belfast, which will see four auctions take place across its auction halls including the weekly car auction at 6pm which will feature over 150 cars including a Nissan car donated to Northern Ireland Hospice, with all proceeds going to the charity. The Unreserved Catering Auction will also take place at 6pm along with the Land & Property Auction which will start at 7.30pm.
