Review : Festive Afternoon tea at La Mon Hotel

Afternoon Tea La Mon Hotel

WE RECENTLY TOOK A TRIP TO LA MON HOTEL for some Festive Afternoon Tea

It’s always quite nice to get your bubbly before the rest of the meal. We had just a glass of Shloer as I cannot take any alcohol due breastfeeding.

You can also choose from a selection of classic loose leaf teas & speciality coffees.

Afternoon tea at La Mon Hotel is served on a three-tiered cake stand with a separate plate of scones, still warm from the oven and served with butter, clotted cream and jam. They were fresh, tasty and all the better for being served warm. The scones are decently sized and quite filling.

The top layer holds lovely festive desserts  macaroons , mince pies, carrot cake. Loved fruit cake – moist and packed full of spices. Middle layer  creme brule and chocolate strawberries served on the sides was a lovely touch and absolutely scrumptious.

The botom layer down held the savoury portion of the meal, Traditional Selection Of Finger Sandwiches Served On Soft White Or Granary Bread. (Gluten Free Bread Also Available On Request).

We had lovely  filling –  egg and prawns and honey roasted ham. They were all served on white soft  bread, and came with just the right amount of filling.

PLENTY FOR TWO AT A GREAT PRICE

The huge and varied selection was more than enough for two of us, with something for everyone.
