Pragmatic Play in 2026: The Live Casino Bet Reshaping the Business

Most of the noise around Pragmatic Play in 2026 is about new slots. But the more interesting story is what is happening in live casino, where the operation has tripled in size since 2019 and is on track to triple again before 2028. That, more than any single release, is where the business is heading. Eleven years in, this is Pragmatic Play’s biggest year yet.

How big is Pragmatic Play’s live casino operation now?

In 2019, the company made the move that has defined the second half of its history, launching live casino with around 50 tables and building a parallel business alongside its slots catalogue. Today, Pragmatic Play runs more than 500 live tables, with sources pointing to plans for over 1,000 more across the next two years. Studio locations are set to grow from five to nine in the same period.

What is the slot-to-live casino crossover strategy?

The strategic move worth watching is what Pragmatic Play is doing with its biggest slot IPs in live casino. Sweet Bonanza CandyLand was the first major crossover, taking one of the most recognisable slots in the world into a live, interactive game-show format. Gates of Olympus Roulette pushed further, fusing classic roulette with the lightning-bolt-and-multiplier energy of the original slot.

Branded live products are becoming increasingly common across the industry. The difference is that most suppliers lack the creative and technical capability, not to mention the global recognition and success of its slots IP, to make the format land convincingly. Pragmatic Play has it, and that is becoming one of its clearer competitive advantages. Expect more crossovers.

How did Pragmatic Play get here?

Pragmatic Play launched in 2015, headquartered in Gibraltar and privately owned by a group of investors led by Veridian (Gibraltar) Limited. Co-founder Julian Jarvis has been CEO from the start. He worked at AOL Europe through the AOL Time Warner merger, then in 2004 was recruited by the founders of what became PartyGaming, bringing a regulated-markets mindset into the company from day one.

That mindset shaped the strategy: high-quality slots built for mobile and distributed through regulated markets, at a time when plenty of suppliers were still chasing volume through lighter-touch territories. Pragmatic Play went the other way, pushing for licensing in the UK first, then Malta, Italy, Sweden, Romania, and later Ontario and Brazil.

What is the Fury of Anubis mega release?

Pragmatic Play releases a high volume of online slots each month. All meet high standards of quality. But every quarter, the supplier releases at least one so-called “mega” slot. January brought Jelly Express, a fast-paced candy-land slot with win potential up to 5,000x. April brought Gates of Olympus Roulette. In June, it is Fury of Anubis, set in the realm of the ancient Egyptian god of the afterlife. Fury of Anubis is a pays-anywhere slot built for players who like a feature-rich experience and a slow build to a big bonus game moment, and it launches on 25 June through the single-API integration across all major regulated markets.

What else is Pragmatic Play releasing this summer?

Fury of Anubis is not launching alone.

On 25 May, the company released Big Bass Football Bonanza, a World Cup-themed entry in the bestselling Big Bass series, timed to land while football is the only thing anyone is watching.

On 18 May, it debuted Seotda Baccarat, a first-of-its-kind live title combining traditional baccarat with a Korean-inspired Seotda card mechanic.

Other recent slots include Mr. Null’s Wicked Wares (5 May), Sweet Bonanza 2500 (30 April) and Big Bass Trophy Catch (16 April), each a new variant on a flagship franchise. That is the pattern the catalogue is built on: take a game that works, find a fresh angle, build a new version, and ship it. Of course, their releases are mixed with many original new titles too. Cue Fury of Anubis.

Inspired by ancient Egypt, the game combines tumble win multipliers, a bonus game gamble feature, and wins of up to 10,000x, making it an exciting new addition to Pragmatic’s award-winning slots portfolio.

How big is Pragmatic Play’s slots catalogue?

The slots library runs into the thousands of titles, with Big Bass, Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus driving a lot of the engagement. Gates of Olympus Super Scatter ranked as the company’s top-performing slot globally by the end of 2025, and Fortune of Olympus, which launched in December 2025, has continued to rank highly through 2026. Pragmatic Play ships around eight to nine new games a month, with one top-tier or mega release each quarter.

What awards has Pragmatic Play won?

Pragmatic Play has been a fixture on industry awards lists for years, winning Online Casino Supplier of the Year for three consecutive years at the Global Gaming Awards London/EMEA between 2023 and 2025. By mid-2026 it had picked up 25 award wins, on top of around 40 in 2025 and 35 in 2024. Notable 2026 wins include Brand of the Year at the IGA, European Software Supplier at the EGR Europe Awards, Online Casino Supplier and Online Slot of the Year at the GGIs, Casino Content Provider at the Italian Gaming Awards, and Casino Software Supplier (Over 5 Years) and Slot Supplier (Over 5 Years) at the prestigious EGR B2B Awards.

What should you watch for the rest of 2026?

The next mega release is expected in the autumn, likely either another franchise extension or a left-field original, both of which have worked for the company before. The bigger question is how far the live casino crossover strategy goes. Two flagship IPs are already in live game-show formats. A third would turn the crossover from a smart product play into a defining signature. For a company in its eleventh year, Pragmatic Play looks less like a maturing supplier and more like one that’s still just scratching the surface of its ambitions.
