Paul Heaton is bringing a career-spanning night to The O2 Belfast on Friday 4 June 2027, with Lightning Seeds as support and guest singer Rianne Downey in the band. Tickets go on sale Friday 4 September 2026 at 9:30am via Ticketmaster.ie.
Fresh from his first solo UK number one album Jenius — produced by Ian Broudie and recorded at Blueprint Studios in Manchester — Heaton will dig into Beautiful South and Housemartins classics alongside the new material. For Belfast arena crowds that already treat The O2 as a big-night venue (see our concerts and tickets guide), this is one of the clearer singalong bookings of summer 2027.
From @love_belfast:
- Date: Friday 4 June 2027
- Venue: The O2 Belfast
- Support: Lightning Seeds
- Guest singer: Rianne Downey
- Also Ireland: 3Arena Dublin — Saturday 5 June 2027; Live at the Marquee, Cork — Saturday 3 July 2027
- Tickets: Friday 4 September 2026, 9:30am — Ticketmaster.ie
Jenius is Heaton’s 23rd album and marks roughly 40 years since The Housemartins’ London 0 Hull 4. The live show is built as a full career sweep rather than a single-album run — the kind of set that fills arenas with people who grew up on “Perfect 10”, “You Keep It All In” and “Happy Hour” as much as the newer solo work.
Lightning Seeds joining the Irish dates ties the production story to the stage: Broudie produced Jenius, and his band opens the Belfast and Dublin shows before the Cork Marquee date in July.
Summer 2027 already looks stacked for NI road-trippers — Take That at Belsonic, Sombr in Ormeau Park, and Fontaines D.C. at Slane. Heaton at The O2 sits earlier in that month and will suit anyone budgeting big rooms carefully (our big-gig budget notes still apply).
Set a reminder for 9:30am on Friday 4 September — Irish tickets are Ticketmaster.ie only for these dates.
