Young people across Northern Ireland will be visiting schools this morning, to anxiously collect their GCSE results and unfortunately for some, they may not be the results they hoped for. Local boxing hero Paddy Gallagher, has teamed up with Include Youth, to reassure Northern Ireland’s young people that exam results are not the end of the road. Include Youth’s unique youth work approach can help school leavers decide on their next steps and can chat through all their options.
“There is a lot of pressure put on these kids at school and at the age of 16, who really knows what they want to do for the rest of their lives. Maths was my strong point at school, which still amazes my partner Rachel! English was most definitely my downfall, I failed the GCSE three times in one year! I wish I would have known back then, what I know now… there is more than one way to skin a cat! If you didn’t get the results you hoped for, get in touch with the team of youth workers at Include Youth who can chat to you about your options and next steps. Neither Rachel or I did fantastic at school, yet we have both been able to find alternative paths and follow our dreams.”
If you or someone you know is disappointed with their results, they can contact Include Youth through their Facebook page or email email@example.com and one of the team will get in touch with you.
