Budding Masterchef’s could have the chance to hone their skills in a Michelin Star Restaurant, if they can stand the heat of a charity auction raising funds for the new children’s heart centre at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.
Internationally renowned and multi award winning Head Chef of OX restaurant, Stevie Toman, has donated an exclusive experience to the Children’s Heartbeat Trust’s fundraising dinner, An Evening with Sir AP McCoy. The highest bidder at the auction will spend the morning learning the ropes in a world class kitchen, before mucking in with the team as they prepare lunch. Afterwards they can enjoy the fruits of their labor with three friends for a relaxed lunch in the Michelin Star rated restaurant.
An Evening with Sir AP McCoy takes place in Belfast City Hall on Friday 21st April, where guests will hear the 20 time Champion Jockey tell the inside stories about his life and career as one of the world’s most successful and dedicated sportsmen of our time.
Organised by local charity, Children’s Heartbeat Trust, the event will raise funds for the new Children’s Heart Centre in Belfast which will be a dedicated centre for the care and treatment of children and young people with congenital heart disease.
Speaking ahead of the event, Lynn Cowan, Children’s Heartbeat Trust: “We are thrilled that OX and Stevie Toman have donated this one off, incredible experience as an auction prize for ‘An Evening with Sir AP McCoy’. Tony was the best of the best in his career, and OX has proven to the best of best when it comes to dining. We have no doubt that there will be a budding masterchef who will snap up this incredible opportunity to learn from one of the best.”
Stevie Toman, Head Chef at OX, added: “Children’s Heartbeat Trust is a charity close to our hearts here at Ox and we are delighted to be able to support their fundraising efforts by giving a local foodie a real unique experience and inside perspective of working in a busy restaurant.”
Children’s Heartbeat Trust is a local charity which supports children and young people born with congenital heart disease.
