New research names the most disability friendly shopping centres in Northern Ireland

Lisburn-based stairlift and lift provider, Olympic Lifts, has conducted research into the accessibility features of shopping centres across Northern Ireland, and have named 10 centres as the most disability friendly.

Olympic Lifts looked at over 30 shopping centres and outlets and graded them according to the different accessibility features they offered, including those with rentable scooters and wheelchairs, and hosted a Quiet Hour or similar during their opening hours.

By their research, the top 10 (in no particular order) is as follows:

1. Bloomfield (Bangor)
2. Victoria Square (Belfast)
3. Foyleside (Londonderry/Derry)
4. Buttercrane (Newry)
5. Abbey Centre (Newry)
6. Castlecourt (Belfast)
7. Park Centre (Belfast)
8. Meadowlane (Magherafelt)
9. Tower Centre (Ballymena)
10. Bow Street Mall (Lisburn)
