Odds on Liverpool to win the treble – worth a punt?

There is simply no denying it, Liverpool have been formidable this season and are looking simply phenomenal. They have virtually already won the English Premier League. They are miles ahead of their closest competitor Manchester City after 22 matches played at this point. Liverpool have rallied up a massive 64 points in all their games thus far and city are well behind with 48.

It is unfathomable that they will somehow lose the league from this point, Liverpool have it in the bag and what’s more – they are very much still in the FA cup as well as the UEFA champions league. Given that they are surely going to win the EPL, you are not going to get great odds if you were to bet on the same. However, your odds are going to be remarkably better should you bet on them to win all three competitions – the EPL, the FA Cup and the Champions league. So, how likely is it that they can pull of the treble? Let’s dig a little deeper.

Liverpool in the EPL

So just how good have Liverpool been this year in the premier league? Well, let us look at one of the biggest achievements in English football and compare it to that. Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal were titled The Invincibles after they went a whole season without conceding a single defeat, at they end of the season, they had 26 wins, 12 draws and 0 losses. This has never been achieved in any top flight football division in Europe again or prior. However, Liverpool have had such a great season that they are in with a solid chance of matching and even surpassing this unbeaten record set by Arsenal in the 2003-04 season.

As far as the EPL is concerned, there is no question about it, Liverpool have it on the bag. Betting on them to win the EPL is the safest bet we can think of.  Want to take that bet? Check out the best football betting offers from all the top UK bookmakers

Liverpool odds to win the EPL –9/4

Liverpool in the FA Cup

Given their form and sheer quality this season, it is no surprise that Liverpool are also favorites to win the FA Cup, should they take it serious enough.

Their last FA Cup game was against Everton where they managed to secure a 1 – 0 victory and this sent them through to the fourth round where they will face Shrewsbury away on Sunday (Jan 26th), they will be expected to win this comfortably.

Liverpool odds to win the FA CUP – 7/2

Chelsea are second favorites at 8/1, Leicester City have odds of 9/1 and Arsenal is an outsider to win the FA cup at 12/1.

Liverpool are favorites to win the EPL as well as the FA cup, therefore, even if you were to bet on the double (that they will win both) it could be a handsomely paying bet with a great likelihood if winning.

Liverpool in the Champions League

Liverpool have won the Champions League five times, but the only recent win came in the 2004/05 season. If they have a good chance of winning the CL again – it has to be this season! Their squad is solid and they stand a real chance.

Liverpool are top of their group (Group E – also has Napoli, Red Bull and Genk in it) and are surely going to qualify to the knock out stages. They lost just one game in the group stages.

The bookmakers have Manchester City as the favorites to win the champions league (odds of 7/2) and Liverpool are in second at 4/1. However, if we know Liverpool have already gotten the better of city this season with a 3 -1 win and should have no issues taking them on again.

The treble is not something that happens often, but sometimes, teams come along and they have the potential to do pull it off – this Liverpool squad is one of those teams. It could be a risky bet to bet on Liverpool winning the Treble, but there are certainly chances and you will win big time if Klopp’s Liverpool can do it.
