Former US President Barack Obama is coming to Belfast. Seat Unique Presents: An Evening with President Barack Obama takes place at The O2 Belfast on Tuesday 13 October 2026, and the venue is already flagging the night as “Selling Fast”.
Ticketmaster lists the event as President Barack Obama In Conversation. Here is what we know so far about the night, the tickets and getting in.
What the Evening Is About
The O2 Belfast says the 44th President of the United States will discuss “what comes next – for America, and for all of us”, as America marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence.
The event is brought to Belfast by Fane, Kilimanjaro, Singular Artists and Regular Music, and presented by Seat Unique. The venue says it follows similar events in Dublin and London last year.
The event listing also highlights his post-presidency work through the Obama Foundation and the Obama Presidential Center, which the venue says opened this summer on Chicago’s South Side.

Security: Arrive Early
This is not a normal arena night, and the venue has published extra guidance:
- Every customer will go through a full, airport-style security search before entering, so allow extra time.
- Avoid bringing bags if you can. If you must, they can be no bigger than A4.
- Download your tickets to the Ticketmaster app or your mobile wallet before you arrive. Screenshots will not work.
- The O2’s prohibited items list is longer than usual, and surrendered items will not be returned.
Getting There
The O2 Belfast is in Titanic Quarter, a short walk from the city centre. The venue’s car parks have 1,500 spaces on a first-come, first-served basis. It says it can take around an hour to get out of the car park after busy events, so walking or public transport may be the easier option on a security-heavy night. Check the venue’s Getting Here page before you travel.
