Breaking: Actor Noel Clarke has been charged with sexual offences including sexual assault, voyeurism and exposure, according to an owners news wire circulating on Wednesday 9 September 2026.
The Crown Prosecution Service authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge him on Wednesday after detectives submitted a file of evidence, the wire reported. Independent confirmation from outlets such as the BBC and The Guardian had not appeared at the time of filing — LoveBelfast is leading carefully from that wire and will update if official statements expand the detail.
The charges
As reported in the Wednesday wire, Clarke is accused of sexual offences covering sexual assault, voyeurism and exposure. Further charge-sheet particulars have not been published in that wire and are not invented here. He has been charged — he has not been convicted.
Earlier Metropolitan Police inquiry
In February 2026, the Metropolitan Police said a man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape, exposure and sexual assault by touching, relating to an alleged 2007 incident in London. Officers also interviewed him about a voyeurism allegation linked to an alleged 2013 incident, for which he had previously been arrested in September 2025. He was bailed pending further inquiries at that time, according to contemporaneous Met and BBC reporting.
Those earlier suspicions are background to the investigation. This article does not claim they are identical to the charges authorised on Wednesday unless and until CPS or the Met confirm that link in full.
Screen credits
Clarke is known to UK audiences for television roles including Doctor Who and Bulletproof, and for the film trilogy Kidulthood, Adulthood and Brotherhood.
