NI’S LARGEST CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS for the YEAR OF THE SNAKE this weekend.

Come and see shows repeated throughout the day of Chinese performers juggling, ribbon dancing, listen to Chinese music, acrobats, dance, food, martial arts, stalls, fashion show of Chinese fusion new designs by Belfast Metropolitan College and much more. Children can come along in Chinese costume to enter a dress competition sponsored by Delta and enter into a lucky draw of a top children’s prize worth over £150.

The Snake’s Lair workshops for children will be full of activity to get us all into the Spirit and Fortune of the Water Snake.

Don’t miss the colourful lion dances around 1pm! Also there will be two surprise acts. 😉

Special feature this year is a Scottish / Chinese music fusion by, ‘Harmony Ensemble,’ as seen at the Edinburgh Festival, blending Scottish, Chinese and even jazz!

The Finale will be a right old song and dance to get us all in the mood for Chinese New Year Celebrations…… Join in the singing of Happy New Year in Chinese and dance to the beat of Releasing Rhythms, African Drumming group and the Dragon dance!
