Northern Irish sporting legend teamed up with a luxury watch brand to help support a local dog charity. This knockout collaboration between Carl & Christine Frampton, Pride & Pinion and The Doghouse Sanctuary, saw over sixty dogs receive food, toys and a lot of donations to help care for dozens of homeless pets.
Frampton is an avid watch enthusiast so his friendship with Amsterdam born, Nico van der Horst grew from a love of beautiful watches. Pride & Pinion is passionate about donating to charities, this dynamic start-up has supported several NI non-profit organisations, including Sport Changes Life, Horizons Lisburn and other animal sanctuaries. Business owner Nico was nominated for Best Business Person and Pride & Pinion was a finalist for Best New Business in the Belfast Business Awards 2019.
The Doghouse Sanctuary is an amazing place, they work closely with animal welfare officers and the PSNI to save dogs and cats that suffer from cruelty and abusive owners. As well as re-homing dogs from local councils, the group also help members of the public who are unable to look after their pets but who are reluctant to give them to the council because of the fear of it being destroyed.
Nico says “Animals are a huge passion of mine, especially dogs, its heart breaking to see so many pets without homes. This is the part of my job that I enjoy the most, giving back to these worthwhile organisations”.
