Soon to be on the road around Northern Ireland, The NI Gin Festival are starting off their tour in Belfast at The Doyen, Lisburn Road on Saturday 26th May and Sunday 27th May. They will be bringing with them over 40 world wide gin serves and some recognisable gin brand ambassadors such as Gerry White from Belfast’s own Jawbox.
The event promises to perfectly serve up a variety of well-known brands as well as more speciality craft gins from smaller distilleries. Experts and ambassadors will be on hand providing stories, tips & masterclasses on gins, garnishes, syrups and mixers whilst bringing new taste sensations to customer palettes. A dedicated gin cocktail bar will also be in operation showing customers how to create some wonderful new concoctions for their own cocktail parties.

Gerry White, creator of Jawbox Gin is just one of the brand ambassadors who will be present at the event.
“We are delighted to be a part of the NI Gin Festival and look forward to chatting to everyone at the event. We love talking to those who already love Jawbox and tell them more about our story and what’s to come in future, but we’re also excited to introduce our gin to those who haven’t tried it yet and show them exactly how they might best enjoy it – what we call, our ‘Perfect Swerve’.
Also on site at the event to share their story and perfect serves, will be ambassadors from Dublin gin brand Ha’penny, the brand new Mil gin, also from Dublin, and from the Amalfi Coast, Malfy with their lemon gin and popular new flavour Blood Orange.
Guests, whilst sipping on G&T’s, will enjoy the sound of fantastic live local talent with music from Hot Sausage & Mustard in the afternoon, and Lazy Hooks in the evening as well as perfect summer tunes from the resident DJ throughout the day.
A specially created menu of small plates from the team of chefs at The Doyen will also be available throughout the day with a list of expertly suggested gin pairings.
David Neely, Events Manager at Bit of a Do, who are the company behind the event, said:
“We’re excited to finally launch The NI Gin Festival Tour and, of course, where better to start than in our wonderful city of Belfast. We have selected a fantastic venue – The Private Rooms at The Doyen on the Lisburn Road. It’s a stunning, fresh new space that will allow us to really showcase all the fantastic gins we have on board. With so much going on from Gerry and the guys telling their stories to cocktail masterclasses to live music and great food (and an extra day off work!) it is sure to be a ‘must’ on everyone’s social calendar this May bank holiday.
