£1M is a Lot of ‘Dough’ to Miss Out on!

Search is on to ‘deliver’ unclaimed National Lottery prize to missing Belfast winner

The National Lottery has placed a very special order with local pizza chain Four Star Pizza (FSP) to help deliver an unclaimed EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker prize of £1,000,000 to a missing winner who bought their ticket in Belfast.

To raise awareness and help find the mystery millionaire, the pizza company has even created a scrumptious new dessert – the ‘Millionaire’s Pizzacake’ – in the hope that it will jog the memory of one lucky ticket-holder who is in danger of missing out on a lot of dough.

The missing ticket, with the winning EuroMillions Millionaire Maker code MZMF 67754, was bought in Belfast ahead of the EuroMillions draw that took place on Friday 2 October 2020. The clock is now ticking, with just weeks left for the ticketholder to claim their £1,000,000 prize – if it isn’t claimed by midnight on Wednesday 31 March 2021, the money will go to help Good Cause projects funded by The National Lottery.

This means that Belfast’s pizza lovers only have until 31 March to enjoy the mouth-watering new ‘Millionaire’s Pizzacake’ – a chocolate pizza made from Four Star’s famously fresh dough, with golden honeycomb, white chocolate buttons and sprinkles.*

Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “With the deadline to claim the prize now less than a month away, we are really urging Belfast’s EuroMillions players to dig out, check and double-check their tickets before it’s too late.

“We cooked up the idea to partner with Four Star Pizza to create a yummy new special edition ‘Millionaire’s Pizzacake’ as a fun way of getting that message out there whilst helping in some small way to support a local business during these difficult times.”

Scott Higginson of Four Star Pizza said, “It’s incredible to think that there’s someone in Belfast sitting on a tasty £1M but who doesn’t yet know it.

“It would certainly be a massive slice of good luck for someone if, by launching our new Millionaire’s Pizzacake,’ we could help unite the owner of this missing EuroMillions ticket with their life-changing prize.

“Over the next few weeks, we will safely cook and deliver thousands of pizzas contact-free to homes in the Belfast region.  It would be really hard to top it if one of our customers was to strike it lucky and scoop this amazing prize.”

EuroMillions Millionaire Maker guarantees to create a millionaire in every draw and for every EuroMillions line played, UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Maker code printed on their ticket.

If no-one comes forward with the winning ticket before the prize claim deadline, then the prize money, plus all the interest it has generated, will go to help National Lottery-funded projects across the UK.

By playing any National Lottery game, players help to raise an average of £30M every week for National Lottery Good Causes across the UK. This money helps support arts, community and charity, heritage, education, environment and the sport sectors – everything from the local charity making a difference where you live through to helping our nation’s athletes win Olympic and Paralympic gold medals. To date, more than £42BN has been raised and distributed to National Lottery Good Causes through more than 625,000 individual grants.

In the current situation, National Lottery players are encouraged to play online at national-lottery.co.uk or by downloading the National Lottery app, and to only buy their tickets in retail in line with government guidance. Playing online via the website or app means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you’re a winner.

Thanks to National Lottery players, up to £800M is being used by charities and organisations affected by the impact of the coronavirus outbreak across the communities, the arts, heritage and sport. This includes up to £400M in funding support from the National Lottery Community Fund which is being used to help groups best placed to support people and communities through the crisis – from helping support food banks to causes that combat loneliness and isolation, support for the elderly and projects that aid health in the community.

With all National Lottery draws, players have 180 days from the day of the draw to claim their prize if they have the winning ticket. Anyone who has any queries or who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0333 234 5050 or email help@national-lottery.co.uk.

Anyone concerned about lost or unchecked tickets may like to consider either setting up a National Lottery Direct Debit or playing online at www.national-lottery.co.uk. Numbers can be entered in advance and lucky winners are notified online if their numbers come up. For further information call 0333 234 4433 or visit www.national-lottery.co.uk

If players have any concerns about not being able to get in-store to claim a lower-tier prize, they can contact The National Lottery on 0333 234 50 50 but are encouraged not to do so unless they have a ticket nearing the end of its claim period.

1Players can contact Camelot by telephoning the National Lottery Line during its normal operating hours. Alternatively, players can email Camelot to confirm they intend to claim their prize but this email must be received at help@national-lottery.co.uk no later than the end (before 12 midnight) of the 180 day claim period, and the claim must subsequently be made in person. Please see Game Rules and Procedures for full details of how to claim.

*The limited edition ‘Millionaire’s Pizzacake’ costs £6 and is available until March 31 at Four Star Pizza stores across North, South, East and West Belfast, as well as Dundonald and Newtownabbey.
