25 new jobs created, following £900,000 investment in new restaurant

Northern Ireland’s premier outlet shopping destination, The Boulevard has welcomed the arrival of popular local-restaurant chain, Moes Grill, following an investment of £900,000 and the creation of 25 new jobs.

Located next to the centre’s entertainment facilities, Banbridge Omniplex and Ninja Boxx, this family-owned business officially opened its doors on 9 August and will serve up an extensive menu selection, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, light bites and traditional Sunday roasts.

The cosy and vibrant restaurant has taken inspiration from ‘steampunk’ culture with quirky, industrial décor, urban graffiti and intimate booth seating. It also features high speed broadband and USB charging ports, perfect for both families and business lunches.

The Boulevard is currently bucking the 2019 retail trends, with an impressive 24% year-to-date growth and a 15% increase in footfall in the same period. This is a stark contrast to the UK average, which reported a record low for consumer sales in July 2019.

Commenting on the arrival of Moes Grill, Chris Nelmes, Retail Director at The Boulevard said:

“It’s wonderful to see the opening of Moes Grill at The Boulevard as an extension of our food and beverage offering. This year, we have welcomed a number of new retailers to The Boulevard, such as Jack and Jones Junior, Radley, Suit Direct and Samsonite, but it is great to see that growth extending into our entertainment and leisure facilities.

“With sales and footfall increasing at The Boulevard it is important that we continually strive to bring something new to our customers. We are proud to welcome this family-owned restaurant chain to the centre and believe they will be a popular addition to the mall.”

Darren Clarke, owner of Moes Grill, added:

“We are very pleased to have found a home at The Boulevard for our third restaurant, especially given the synergy between their shoppers and our target diners.

“With our steampunk themed interiors, the restaurant has a totally different look and feel to our other branches, and we hope that this will help to create a warm and welcoming environment for our customers. We are extremely happy with the finished restaurant and look forward to welcoming our new customers through the doors.”

Moes Grill join’s Linen Hill Kitchen & Bar, The Boulevard‘s existing dining facility and is the sixth business to open its doors at the centre this year, following the launch of Radley, Suit Direct, Ninja Boxx, Samsonite and Jack and Jones Junior.
