WIN A WEEKEND FAMILY PASS TO MELA COLOURS AND MELA DAY

Belfast Botanic Gardens – Saturday 26^th August & Sunday 27 August

LOVE BELFAST has teamed up with ArtsEkta, organisers of the Belfast Mela Festival, to give you the chance to win one of 10 weekend family passes to its spectacular Mela Day which returns to Botanic Gardens on Sunday 27 August, as well as entry to the NEW Mela Colours event on Saturday 26 August on the Great Lawn at Botanic Gardens.

Northern Ireland’s largest cultural diversity festival, the 17^th Belfast Mela, sponsored by Sensata Technologies will once again take place over nine-days opening on Saturday 19 August with the spectacular FREE Mela Carnival through the streets of Belfast featuring more than 1500 participants and Mela Plus events taking place across the city all week 21 to 25 August.

NEW for 2023 is the dynamic new Mela Colours event on Saturday 26 August at Botanic Gardens, a high energy colour party throughout the afternoon with DJ on stage, dancers and live drumming, hosted by emerging presenter and comedian Bronagh Diamond.

Mela Day takes place on Sunday 27 August from 12 noon to 6pmhosted by U105’s Carolyn Stewart and UTV’s Paul Reilly. Botanic Gardens is once again transformed into a global wonderland of world music, dance, art and theatre performances along with workshops, children’s zones and wellbeing areas and the wonderful aroma of international cuisine greeting you on arrival. New for 2023 is a Little Asia Corner plus special Mughal Miniatures performances on the Great Lawn along with dancing and workshops by Mexican Artist Paula Herrera Martinex, a renewable fashion show Culture Clash, world food demonstrations and the premiere of the South Asian Dance Academy’s new Bombay Dreams original finale.
