Lois Kennedy Joint Managing Director of MayWe said:
” We are delighted to now be recognised as as Age Friendly Employer and see it as a real credit to our amazing team. At MayWe we are proud to be an inclusive employer and truly value the contributions of our older staff members. They all bring a wealth of experience, professionalism, and care and we know how vital they are to the success of our intergenerational team.We often find that people presume our older staff are volunteers, which I think reflects how in Northern Ireland we sometimes still make assumptions regarding older people in the workplace. But ambition and contribution do not end at 50!Through The Pledge and by fostering an age-inclusive culture, MayWe is helping to create a workplace where everyone can succeed, regardless of age.”

Dr Carole Easton OBE, Chief Executive at the Centre for Ageing Better, said:
“We’re delighted to welcome MayWe to the Age-friendly Employer Pledge. Employers who embrace age diversity benefit from a wider talent pool, improved productivity and greater innovation. Together, we can build a more inclusive workforce where people of all ages can succeed.”
