Linwoods wins top Exporter of the Year Award

GrowMakeEatDrink … Celebrate!

Northern Ireland has been celebrating its world class food and drink industry, with the new GrowMakeEatDrink Awards which recognise and honour the best of the best.

Collecting the coveted accolade for top Exporter of the Year, which Invest NI sponsored as a business highlight of the Northern Ireland Year of Food and Drink 2016, was Linwoods.

The company which, despite its  huge global success, remains a family-owned business, still  based in the heart of  Northern Ireland’s beautiful ‘Orchard County’ of Armagh, was praised for having taken its ‘natural quality ethos’ so successfully to the world stage.

Today Linwoods’ innovative healthy milled seeds, nuts and berry blends are exported to more than twenty-five countries around the world, with new marketplaces opening up annually and products also sold online. Linwoods Healthy Super Foods offer health conscious consumers a tasty, affordable and ultra-convenient way to add essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals to their daily diets and, with eleven ranges available, there really is something to suit every taste!

Thanking the commercial partners at home and abroad whose confidence and proactive support has helped Linwoods Healthy Super Foods to earn this prestigious Award, and international recognition and respect, Sarah Shimmons, Head of Marketing, Linwoods said, “From the outset we were fortunate to secure the support of far-sighted retailers and distributors who saw the immense potential of our exciting brand proposition.  Working closely with them we have built on our strengths, bringing accessible, affordable and always delicious health benefits to consumers.  Along the way we have also been proud to raise our reputation as an important contributor to the Northern Ireland economy, and one of the region’s important exporters.  The qualities of natural goodness, simplicity and authenticity which are so strongly associated with Northern Ireland’s vibrant food and drink sector are very much to the fore in everything we do … and they have certainly led to healthy growth for Linwoods Healthy Super Foods!”
