Belfast is fast becoming one of the hotspots for a bit of a getaway with the guys. Whether you’re on a stag weekend or you just want an excuse for a break, there are loads of fun and exciting things to do in this city. Whether you’re after a good place to drink, see sport or even try something new and exciting, Belfast has you covered. So, where do we recommend?
Sure, it’s stereotypical, but there’s no denying that when you get a group of lads together, you’re bound to bond over sports. Belfast has a huge range of activities to get involved in, but it’s probably not the best idea to be too active if you’re planning on celebrating! Thankfully, Belfast has an abundance of pubs, bars and clubs, so if you’re going to be a little ahem worse for wear, you can always just kick back and watch a game there. If you really can’t resist getting involved, save yourself the shame and do some football betting instead – it is just as fun to get on board with without the red face afterwards!
If you really can’t help yourself when it comes to showing off, Gaelic Games are that little bit different. Everyone in the group will most likely never have tried them before, so it’s always bound to be a laugh, not least because you can relish in one another’s failure.
One perfect venue is Citigolf Belfast: The Ultimate Party Venue
CitiGolf is a fully licensed entertainment facility, incorporating Golf, Big Screen Wii / Xbox, Karaoke, food and drink in the heart of Belfast city center. Whether you are on your own or part of a large group, Citigolf is a fun venue for all to enjoy.
Game Of Thrones Tour
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that Game Of Thrones has been the hit show of the past few years. There’s a little something for everyone – drama, intrigue and of course, lots of bloody war and violence!
Unlike loads of top shows which tend to be based in America, many of the scenes were shot to the backdrop of the stunning Belfast vicinity. If you want to see it all for yourself, you’re in luck. You can take a tour of the different locations used in filming for a real feel for the story, and the day is absolutely jam packed to get a really awesome experience. Want to know the bonus? You get to imagine you are really there, but unlike the characters, you won’t meet an untimely end!
This one might not sound as fascinating from the outset, but Belfast is famed for its involvement in the most famous ship that ever sailed (and sank!). Many of the artefacts are on display and you can learn more about where the fateful ship was designed. If you take a tour like this one, they’ll even pick you up from your hotel and give you a lunch – can’t complain! Sadly, there’s no Kate Winslet included in this one, boys – if you’ve seen the movie you’ll realise that’s a bit of a disappointment, but otherwise we’d highly recommend!
We absolutely love Belfast and we can’t imagine why you wouldn’t, too!
