Belfast artist Keith Drury is opening his Belmont Road studio to the public on Saturday 19 September 2026, 12pm–4pm — free entry, no art jargon required, and a special welcome for anyone who has never set foot in a gallery.
The open studio at 32 Belmont Road, Belfast BT4 2AN is Keith’s way of saying art is for everyone. Come for a look, ask questions, and hear the stories tucked into his intricate Belfast cityscapes — the buildings, characters and hidden references that reward a longer stare.
“I want people to feel this is an invitation for them,” he says. “You don’t need to know anything about art or understand art terminology. Just come through the door, have a look, ask questions and let me tell you some of the stories that have inspired the pictures.”
Bring your Belfast — especially West and North
Keith is not only showing work. He wants to listen. He is particularly keen to meet people from West and North Belfast and hear which shops, streets, pubs, schools, churches, football grounds and landmarks deserve a place in future pieces — the spots that mean everything locally even if a driver barely notices them.
“I want people to come in and tell me what I’m missing,” he adds. “What building instantly reignites memories? What would make someone from your part of Belfast look at one of my pictures and say, ‘That’s ours’?”
From studio to airport
Keith Drury Art was founded in 2013. His work sits in galleries, private collections and commissions around the city. His latest major corporate piece, Best of Belfast, is on show at Flax & Soda in Belfast International Airport — a richly detailed take on the city for travellers passing through. We previously covered the story behind that commission in Autism, art and the love story behind Best of Belfast.

The open studio lands the day after Culture Night Belfast 2026 (Friday 18 September) — a handy weekend for free culture if you are already in exploring mode. For more no-cost ideas around town, see our guide to free things to do in Belfast.
