John Garrity Brings Seated Sessions to The Black Box in Belfast

An intimate Sunday night performance is coming to the Cathedral Quarter on 27 September.

John Garrity is swapping the bustle of the city for a more close-up setting with Seated Sessions at The Black Box in Belfast.

Taking place in the venue’s Green Room on Sunday 27 September 2026, the show invites the audience to settle in and give the music their full attention. A seated room puts the focus on the performer, the songs and the shared moments that can get lost in a bigger crowd.

Garrity is known to many as The Belfast Busker, a familiar voice whose live performances have become part of the city’s musical landscape. This smaller show offers a different way to hear him: up close, with space to enjoy the atmosphere as well as the music.

The Black Box, on Hill Street in the Cathedral Quarter, is a fitting home for a relaxed Sunday evening. If you already have a ticket, it’s one to arrive for in good time and savour from the first note.
