- Data published by OAG shows the leading leisure airline was the most punctual UK carrier in 2019

Data published by leading travel intelligence company OAG has revealed that Jet2.com, which flies out of Belfast International Airport, was the most punctual UK airline in 2019.
The OAG Punctuality League is based on 57.7 million flight records from 2019 and ranks airlines across the world on their punctuality. Jet2.com’s On Time Performance (OTP) of 82.69% makes it the most punctual UK airline, and the only airline in the UK to appear in the top ten European airlines list.
This impressive OTP also means that Jet2.com is the most punctual low-cost carrier in Europe, and the fifth most punctual low-cost carrier in the world.
With 250 airlines ranked globally in total, Jet2.com ranks as the 19th most punctual airline in the world and the sixth most punctual airline in Europe.
Data published throughout the year shows that Jet2.com, the UK’s third largest airline, consistently outperforms other UK airlines for punctuality. Jet2.com was the UK’s most punctual airline in eight of 11 OAG Monthly OTP Reports in 2019 (December data not yet available). This performance is made even more impressive by the fact that the airline operated its biggest ever programme, with 100 aircraft in operation during Summer 19.
This recognition comes on top of a string of accolades that Jet2.com has received for consistently delivering first-class customer service and quality. In December, the airline was once again recognised as a Which? Recommended Provider, and it also won Short-Haul Airline of the Year at the Telegraph Travel Awards in November. The company also scooped five awards at the 2019 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards (Best Airline – UK, Best Airline – Europe, Best Low Cost Airline – Europe, Best Economy Class – Europe and Top 10 Airlines of the World).
