Birch Cabins – the luxury lakeside cabin retreat set within the grounds of Florida Manor in Co. Down – has announced two new additions to its guest offering, in partnership with local deli, Poacher’s Pantry and wellness brand, Little Penny Thoughts.

Guests can now enhance their stay with a Birch Cabins x Poacher’s Pantry Breakfast Hamper, or a Birch Cabins x Little Penny Thoughts ‘Wellness from Within’ journal package – the latest thoughtful additions designed to help guests slow down, and enjoy the quiet joy of switching off.

The two new packages build on Birch Cabins’ collaborations with local businesses, which already includes Field Day (toiletries), Mourne Textiles (throws), Maven (outdoor furniture) and Annadale Brickworks (bespoke pottery mugs) – part of the venue’s ongoing commitment to showcasing the very best of local makers, producers and boutique retailers.

Birch Cabins x Poacher’s Pantry

For guests who want to start the day well without leaving the comfort of their cabin, the new Breakfast Hamper from Poacher’s Pantry – the popular artisan deli, food and wine shop run by The Poacher’s Pocket in Lisbane – brings together a delectable range of freshly baked goodies, presented in a hamper box and ready to enjoy, whether you fancy breakfast in bed, or with your morning coffee, on the balcony with the dawn chorus.

Priced £35 for two people, sharing, each hamper includes a generous collection of delectable home-baked goodies, including:

  • 2 x freshly baked pork & apple sausage rolls
  • 2 x freshly baked croissants (or pain au chocolat)
  • 2 x freshly baked scones (choice of flavour available)
  • Choice of freshly baked wheaten or sourdough loaf
  • Salted butter and Dundarave mini jam pots

The Poacher’s Pocket Breakfast Hamper can be added to any Birch Cabins stay.

Birch Cabins x Little Penny Thoughts ‘Wellness from Within’ Journal

For guests looking to slow down and reflect during their stay, Birch Cabins has also partnered with Little Penny Thoughts to offer ‘Wellness from Within’ journal as a special add-on for just £20 – representing a £9 saving on the usual RRP (RRP £29).

Designed to help guests cultivate gratitude and mindfulness, the journal offers a safe space for reflecting on life’s little joys, and a private place for your innermost thoughts. Thoughtfully crafted daily prompts, inspiring quotes and deeper check-ins encourage guests to embrace each moment, celebrate their experiences and acknowledge their achievements.

With a stylish PU leather cover, with elegant foil detailing on the cover, the journal comes in a lovely gift box, with a bespoke Birch Cabins sleeve and includes:

  • Positive Affirmations & Wish List – cultivate a mindset of positivity and dream big
  • Inspirational Quotes – boost motivation and mindset
  • Check-in Challenges & Visualisation Prompts – dive deeper into thoughts and goals
  • Gratitude Guidance – regular prompts to help focus on what you’re thankful for

Both additions reflect Birch Cabins’ ethos of slowing down and savouring the moment, whether that’s over a leisurely breakfast connecting with nature, or quiet time journalling as the sun goes down.

One-night stays at Birch Cabins start from £250 per night, with midweek packages offering 15% off a two-night stay Sunday to Thursday for up to two people sharing (use code MIDWK15) or 10% off a two-night stay Friday to Sunday (use code FRIDAY10), subject to availability. The Poacher’s Pantry Breakfast Hamper (£35) and Little Penny Thoughts journal (£20) can be added at the time of booking.
