“FOCUS ON LOCAL” BELFASTS NEWEST FESTIVAL HAS ARRIVED

Focal Festival

Belfast welcomes a brand new independent food, drink and music festival this summer. Focal Festival is a two-day open-air event coming to Crescent Gardens Belfast for the first time this June. Local food, drink and music from some of the city’s best artists will be showcased.

Focal Festival is collaboration between the entrepreneurs behind Copeland Spirits, Harland Wines, Bullhouse Beer and Gallopers Craft Beer. The four newest companies in the NI drinks industry have been founded by people in their twenties with an idea of changing the industry and reinvigorate the NI market, with a focus upon local produce/industry as and where possible.

Focal Festival was incepted after a discussion between the four companies about the difficulty of being able to showcase their products at outdoor events. Focal was created in order to do just this, allowing LOCAL food vendors, LOCAL drinks companies and LOCAL musical artists to entertain us all.

Crescent Gardens is the often overlooked hidden gem right in the heart of Botanic/Queens University area and is an ideal central location to play host to Belfast’s newest festival.

The two-day event runs across Friday 30th June and Saturday 1st July. Up to nine local acts will feature on stage across both days and the organisers have been supported by a number of other local brands including: Jawbox Gin, Ruby Blue Spirits, Tempted Cider, Clearer Water, Farmageddon Brewing Co-op, Yardsman Beer, Wolfe and Devour Spoon Street and Woodfire Pizza.

Food will be available from a number of local food outlets yet to be announced.
