Janet Devlin has unveiled the music video for her second single ‘House of Cards’.
The track is taken from the former X Factor star’s upcoming debut album Running with Scissors, to be released on June 9.
‘House of Cards’ will be released on May 26. The promo’s concept was written by Devlin, who is seen dealing with the aftermath of a breakup in the video.
Speaking about the song, Devlin said: “A more recent song I’ve written but lyrically it was written after a bad breakup I had two years ago.
“The song gets more and more impersonal as it goes on – starting at ‘dear love’ and ending on ‘hey boy’. The idea behind the King of Hearts symbolism was to reiterate the idea of the boy being heartless as his heart was ‘never found’.”
