Belfast-based magazine publishers Family Media Group, have been honoured at a prestigious gala awards ceremony in Glasgow this December for bringing their much-loved ‘4kids’ product and brand to the Scottish market.
Ni4kids Magazine is a well-known media brand in Northern Ireland, distributing the highest number of Audit Bureau of Circulation certified copies of any local magazine at 74,940 per issue. For over fifteen years the family lifestyle magazine has been delivered free into the hands of local parents, packed full of content on parenting, education, health, family food, crafts and activities, reviews and is renowned for its family-friendly what’s on guide.
The growth of the brand, and its success in its home market, led to the launch of Scotland4kids in Edinburgh in January 2016 where Scottish parents and family-friendly enterprises have been equally responsive to the company who puts families with younger children at the heart of their business. Indeed Scotland4kids has made such an impressive impact, that it was judged to be a shining example of publishing excellence and picked up the 2016 Magazine Launch of the Year Award at the recent PPA Scotland Awards, beating 17 other new Scottish titles to the accolade.
The judges claimed Scotland4kids was ‘a clear winner’ and particularly commented on the editorial hitting the mark and that the magazine gets to the heart of issues in an honest and practical way. They said: “In a difficult market, Scotland4kids has achieved a fantastic start with excellent local advertising support and distribution network.”
