EMERGE is back in Belfast this bank holiday weekend, with Ireland’s biggest electronic festival taking over Boucher Road Playing Fields for two days and a whole new stage.
Saturday 29 August is Hannah Laing presenting doof Belfast. Sunday 30 August is blk. Open Air. Same field. One arena. No sprinting between tents.
Shine have stripped out the old multi-stage layout for 2026, the festival’s fifth year in the city, and put everything into a single open-air arena. Multi-tiered viewing, a curved LED wrap, 360 screens in the middle of the floor, bigger sound coverage, and a clash-free running order. You can take or leave the brochure language. The useful fact is you stand in one place.

Weekend tickets and day tickets are both on Ticketmaster Ireland. Once you are scanned in, there is no re-entry. Bags bigger than A4 are out. No umbrellas, no picnic blankets, no chairs. It is a standing show. No cloakroom and no ATMs on site. Card at the bars.

A different kind of Belfast Sunday

Acceptable ID includes a valid passport, photocard driving licence, PASS or CitizenCard, electoral card, student card, or Yoti. Strictly 17+.
Boucher is a field off the Boucher Road. Buses and trains if you can, taxis if you cannot. Once you are in, you are in.
